Do You Live Close to the Beach?

When we get together with family, and talk about living in Virginia, this is one subject that always seems to come up.

Yes, we do live close to the water, though our "beach" is along the York River, near where it empties into the Chesapeake Bay. We do see tides here, and the water is brackish (partially salty), but I'd have to admit it's not nearly like being at Virginia Beach.
